Stuart Bennett MRCVS

|
Senior Assocaite Veterinary Surgeon - Erdington |
|
Graduate of Glasgow, 1988
I grew up and went to school in Staffordshire. I attended Glasgow university vet school from 1983 and qualified as a vet in 1988. After qualification I spent 7 years in a busy mixed practice (farm animals as well as pets) in South Yorkshire. I then spent 2 years as a locum working mostly around the London area. During this time I was able to travel extensively and have now visited every continent with the exception of Antarctica!
I began to work in the Birmingham area in 1997 and joined The Veterinary Clinic in 2002. I am married and have two young children who seem to consume most of my time when I’m not working.
Stuart works 3 1/2 days a week ( Monday, Tuesday mornings, Wednesday andThursday) at our Erdington surgery.

I live in Boldmere with my parents and two sisters. We have a pet rabbit called ‘Flossie’ and often foster stray cats that come into the clinic.
I joined The Veterinary Clinic in March 2007 after qualifying as an animal nursing assistant in 2006. I am now looking forward to working towards my Veterinary Nursing qualification.
My hobbies include travelling, going to the gym, socialising with my friends and family and eating out. When at work I take pride in ensuring all the animals in our care are comfortable and receive the special treatment they require.

I grew up in Canada and after completing a BSc in Biochemistry
at McGill University (Montreal) in 1984, I moved to Glasgow to
take a degree in veterinary medicine, which I completed in
1989. I moved to the Midlands, where I have been in small
animal practice ever since. After taking a year out of general
practice to design and build Northside Emergency Veterinary
Clinic, I went back to work with John Speer, when we opened
the new branch in Castle Bromwich. By January 2000 and
after 18 months of negotiation, I became the owner of The
Veterinary Clinic. My interests are internal medicine,
orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. I live in Streetly with my
wife, two daughters and son. Our hobbies include travelling
to see our respective families in Canada and Sri Lanka,
swimming and spending time together as a family. We have a chocolate Labrador, Coco. Increasing demands upon my time and an expanding interest in management have precipitated my decision take a break from the clinical side of the business to concentrate on it's development. My goal is to continually improve the standard of care
and service that The Veterinary Clinic offers our patients and
their owners.
If you have any comments on how we can service the needs of you or your pet better then please contact me at info@thevetclinic.co.uk. |

I was born in Bridgnorth, Shropshire and now live in Birmingham with my partner and three young children, which include twin girls! I have two pet rabbits and my interests include horse riding and spending time with my family.
I joined the veterinary clinic in 2003 as a qualified animal nursing assistant and achieved my NVQ2 in veterinary nursing in 2005. I am hoping to progress on to become a qualified veterinary nurse in the near future.

I am originally from Merseyside but my parents were in the army so I was fortunate enough to have grown up in Germany and Northern Ireland before coming to Sutton Coldfield in 1992 which is where I now live.
I have been here at The Veterinary clinic since December 2003 and have recently passed my final Veterinary nursing exams in January 2008.
I am interested in all aspects of nursing, but especially radiography and laboratory diagnostics. My hobbies include travel, literature, and photography, going to the gym and swimming. I am also a lifelong supporter of Manchester United football club!

I grew up and still live in Great Barr, Birmingham, with my
husband and our colony of cats. My interests include ancient
Eygpt, music, computers (Internet), good food (dining out),
skiing and foreign travel. I also enjoy anything to do with cats
and this interest lead me into veterinary practice over 10 years
ago, at the Bakers Lane branch of Leighswood Veterinary
Clinic. I joined The Veterinary Clinic in June 2000 as a nursing
auxiliary at the main clinic but have since moved to take over
the management of our branch clinic in Castle Bromwich. I work
in the evenings and along side my reception and nursing duties
I will handle all your account and insurance enquiries. This
clinic has grown steadily since opening in June 1998 and I
would like to see this growth continue by ensuring our clients
receive a friendly and professional service. I would welcome
any comments that you might have. Please feel free to E-mail
me at info.cbrom@thevetclinic.co.uk. |

I started working at The Veterinary Clinic in 1995, after 8 years i went to become head nurse at the then branch clinic in Bearwood. After taking a year out to go travelling through Australia and Asia i came back home and have now been working here for the past 2 ˝ years.
My interests are animals!! I love all animals especially cats, already owning quite a few!
I am also very interested in animal welfare issues both here and overseas. More recently I have been spending my time learning how to be a mum to a two legged little man instead of the furry 4 legged type!!

I grew up in the Far East and Africa but have lived in Sutton
Coldfield for the last 20 years with my husband and our 3
children and a variety of pets. I enjoy swimming and fitness,
drawing, going to the cinema and theatre and travelling. With
the children growing up, I decided to go back to work and
joined The Veterinary Clinic in October 1990, making me the
longest serving member of staff at the clinic. I work in the office
upstairs and therefore may not be known, by face, to many of
our clients. I have helped in computerising the clinic over the
last 10 years and am glad to say that the practice is now fully
computerised. I hope with addition of this Web site we will be
able to offer our clients the extended range of services that
this medium can bring. Please E-mail us with your thoughts on
this site at info.erd@thevetclinic.co.uk. |
